About EduGrove Mandarin Enrichment Centre (White Sands)
EduGrove's White Sands centre teaches Chinese through games and drama for children who have started to find the language dull.
EduGrove Mandarin Enrichment Centre, by Changemakers (创学苑), runs Chinese enrichment classes from toddler playgroups to secondary school.
How the centre teaches
Instead of rote learning, EduGrove fixes commonly tested vocabulary in long-term memory through word games, role play and improvised drama. Primary classes focus on a different part of the Chinese exam each week, and plenty of written exercises make sure children can handle every component of the paper. Along the way, lessons build speaking, presentation, critical thinking and creativity.
