Ms Toh's online Chinese lessons bring her small-group classes to students at home.
Ms Toh Chinese Tuition was set up to offer high-quality Chinese tuition at an affordable price, taught by a former MOE Chinese teacher.
How the centre teaches
Rather than simply working through practice papers, lessons follow a structured curriculum with materials customised to what each student needs, so weak areas get targeted help. Classes are much smaller than typical tuition groups, which allows more attention and participation. Ms Toh keeps in regular contact with parents, and expects students to take responsibility for their own learning: a positive attitude, she says, matters more than any outside help.
