AlphaOmegaMath (Taman Jurong)

For children who find Math a chore, AlphaOmegaMath's Taman Jurong centre aims to make the subject something they can enjoy and master.

AlphaOmegaMath is a Math-only tuition centre that began with founder Ignatius Yeo teaching a handful of students in a living room in Taman Jurong. It opened its first centre in Clementi in 2014 and now has 7 centres. Mr Yeo, its principal tutor, is a former MOE teacher with a Masters in Mathematics Education and has written Math textbooks.

How the centre teaches

Lessons use enquiry-based approaches: students are led to work out why a method works before they practise it, so concepts stay with them when questions get harder. The team includes former MOE teachers and experienced tutors, and classes are grouped by level.

Programmes

Primary Math, from the early years to PSLE
Secondary Elementary Math and Additional Math
Upper levels up to A-Level Math

Who it suits

Children who have lost confidence in Math and need to rebuild it, and stronger students who want more challenge in a Math specialist setting.
