About Ace Academia (Clementi)
Some children follow every step in class, then stall when a question is phrased in a way they have not seen before.
Ace Academia is a Math and Science tuition centre in Clementi for Primary 1 to 6 and secondary students. Its primary programme is led by former MOE teachers, including founder Warren Chao, who taught at Henry Park Primary School and has 20 years of teaching experience.
How the centre teaches
Lessons follow a Learn-Understand-Apply approach: the concept first, then curated practice, then exam-style application. The centre's notes cover the different ways a topic can be tested, not only the common question types, so students learn to spot a familiar idea in an unfamiliar form. Class discussion is part of each lesson, and older students revise with past-year papers.
Who it suits
Students who rely on memorised steps, and those who need firmer exam technique and time management.
