About Academia (Bodley Campus)
Academia's Bodley Campus in Bishan is one of its places for children who need English to become more than a subject to get through.
Academia is an English specialist that takes students from early primary narratives all the way to General Paper in junior college. Its teachers, whom it calls Fellows, focus on clear thinking as much as on language: framing experiences, building persuasive arguments and presenting ideas well.
How the centre teaches
Classes are held weekly at several locations, grouped by level and need rather than by age alone. The primary track includes an Advanced Primary 1 class, a Primary 2 class for children who need firmer fundamentals, and a Primary 4 GEP class, so a child can be placed where the work fits. The year follows a term system with breaks in June and December.
